Handling Invitations
Receiving, reviewing, accepting, and declining spec invitations.
Receiving invitations
When a client wants to work with you, you'll receive a spec invitation. You'll be notified both in-app (notification center) and by email. The invitation includes the client's technical spec so you can evaluate the project scope and requirements before responding.
Reviewing the spec
Before accepting or declining, review the attached spec carefully. Look at the 6 dimensions to understand the full scope: what features are needed, the recommended tech stack, compliance requirements, integrations, and deployment strategy. This is your opportunity to assess whether the project aligns with your skills and availability.
Accepting or declining
Accept the invitation if you're interested and available. This doesn't commit you to a project immediately — it signals to the client that you're interested and allows them to assign you to specific projects under that spec. Decline if the project isn't a good fit, optionally with a message explaining why. Declining one invitation doesn't affect future invitations.
